The mayor decided, based on the situation of the pandemic, confinement and teleworking, to cut 50% of the automobile fleet daily, and thus the miracle of solving the stormy traffic of the city was performed. It will no longer be necessary to build road infrastructure or perimeter roads. For the city mayor and the City Council, forbidding us to use the car solved everything. Now that the Mayor announces the suspension of parties by the City Foundation, there will no longer be a need to offer any public work. At least, citizens are expecting the remodeling of the old Atahualpa stadium. They compare this decision with the works that have been carried out in our sister city Guayaquil.
Some citizens of the capital comment that not even a pandemic is going to stop their celebration for Quito festivals. Therefore, the Mayor's office prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages throughout the holiday from December 5 to 7. The Mayor of our capital city promotes traditional activities that were held regularly in previous years but within the home, respecting biosecurity standards.
